In 1980, Miami determined Cuban immigrant takes cartel while succumbing to greed.
Every great movie gangster sub-currents of human drama. Do not expect the emotional story of guilt, despair vingançae Scarface. This is a story about greed fierce Power corrupçãoe. The dark side of the legendary American Dream.Anybody complain about crappy this movie is missing the point. Superficial characters, cheesy music, fashion and dating life fuel further criticism of excessive diabolical. Nothing in life really does not matter these characters, and not on any human level at least. In fact, the film almost borders on satire, ironic considering all the gangsta rappers who were inspired by positive lifestyle Montana. This Tony Bryan Depalmas serious effort in, sometimes excellent and well rounded (most memorable trip), but often falls on the messy and wrong. Fortunately, it is supported by a strong script by Oliver Stone (probably a good therapy for him, given cocaine addiction, he fought at the time). Topics coordinated, focused on the life of Tony Montana, and the evolution of his character as it is consumed by greed and power. The dialogue is also excellent, convenient swings between humor and drama. There are many stand out lines that have since made its way into pop culture in one way or another. The cast help make it what it is, but this film really Pacinos. One of his previous appearances less subtle (something very common nowadays it) is a world completely separate from Michael Corleone and Frank Serpico. However, he is so watchable here, as always, very interesting (and consciously on-top). It's hard to imagine another Tony Montana after seeing this film, perhaps one of the most imitated performances ever. Pfeiffer stood out as annoying and uncomfortable at first, but I came to see how it plays the wife a little boring. There is an exceptional effort, but unjustly underestimated. Supporting actors are very good, especially as Alejandro Paul Chenard Sosa.Powerful gentle, sometimes humorous, sometimes shocking, controversial and continuously. Scarface is one of the films of the eighties (whatever that may mean to you). Gangster film necessary and affordable, and a staple of pop culture. 9/10
