Review:
Now let me start by saying this film is an amazing film. It's certainly not a terrible film, like many critics say. I think the critics might have raised their expectations as Thor and X-Men: First Class. They do not compare with the Green Lantern film. Now 24% are classified Rotten Tomatoes that are too small. Possible high 60s when it was released before Thor and X-Men: First class.The film acting is good and not terrible at all. Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan is a great and very enjoyable. It definitely fits the role of Hal Jordan really well. Blake Lively is a great and very sexy, she is not only a beautiful face, as most are thinking. Peter Sarsgaard is a great actor, and he plays the villainous Hector Hemmond really good and interesting. Overall, everyone is trying their best, and at the end of the day does a really great job, of course, is not an Oscar-worthy performances, special effects though.The is quite excellent and very helpful, to say the least. Although sometimes it seems CGIish a little, but do not get too big a distraction. I have to say I was a little disappointed because Parallax looked, felt a little fake at times, but not horrible in any way from the route. The film does not take itself seriously, which is kind of refreshing. What could be the reason why so many critics did not like. They want another sad story, personal and serious. Unlike Thor and X-Men, Green Lantern is more kids movie friendly.The main problem was that they were trying to cram stuff from the comics and the personal lives of the other characters. It seems that there could be so many sequels to other characters. This kind of focus on the characters too. The editing gets to be a bit annoying at times, they certainly need to have done a better job, but the editing is mediocre best.Overall Green Lantern was a fun summer flick. Although it is nowhere near the realm of The Dark Knight, it is not necessary. 3D was really very good and the special effects were memorable. There is no doubt that the critics were very hard on the Green Lantern and unfair. At the end of the day, do not listen to critics. Make up your mind and see this movie. At the end of the day, it is only your opinion that matters to you. You can agree with the critics, or you can not. However, do not skip this movie because low Rotten Tomatoes score.
