Review:
I for one really like this movie for some reason I will go into later, but I want to get into why I think people do not like it. First, there are people out there who just love to hate Tom Cruise. I dont really understand it. Secondly, I think Cameron Crowe success p *** es off two groups of moviegoers with this movie. Relaxed, casual, does not think very hard group of moviegoers are left confused when the plot takes a full 180 end of the movie. And deep, philosophical puzzle fans destroyed when Crowe has one of his characters fully explain mystery.This is a good movie. And Tom Cruise is doing a good job at it. I think its probably the best performance of his that I've seen it all, though I have not seen all his movies, or even a majority of them probably. Supporting cast is good as well. Penelope Cruz gives a solid performance and Jason Lee was enjoyable.i history, and I think thats what is Vanilla Sky more than anything else. It is a mystery, an adventure and a romantic comedy, but mostly it's just a good story. And it has a lot of philosophical undertones, and many similar ideas and stories like this occurs in historical philosophy. David Aames (Cruise) is a man who had everything he wanted, more or less lost it, got a second chance with someone clinging to recover all back, and finally his face and demonëte full extent of what is happening, picks, simplicity reality and normality ot, r to see if he can finally find the one thing he could never get a handle on, people were disappointed happiness.Many Crowe revealed that complete mystery at the end. I think its necessary. The audience then know beyond a shadow of a doubt that David is aware of his situation, and it makes the choice even more powerful end. And the music in the film is great. Maybe its what makes the film so enjoyable as it is. Especially Njosnavelin of Sigur Ros, which is an amazing song.All at all, Id give 3 out of 4 stars. Its a movie with some substance to those who likes to think things through, and a great story for those looking t 'rested. This moderate approach is probably why people do not like it so much because it is not a full blown mystery or a story full blown love. She mixes and matches different elements and genres.
